FAQs

What is Principles of Preschool Dance?

A certification for dance teachers that teach dance classes to preschool-aged students. The program focuses on early childhood fundamentals including science, play, brain development and psychology. Teachers will learn the art of teaching to equip them with the soft skills to connect, manage, and inspire dancers.

Why should my teachers get certified?

Post COVID there is a gap between the teacher’s skills and the student’s needs. Teachers are frustrated and the needs of children have changed. We need to meet them where they are at. Equipping teachers with skills, that transfer into all their dance classes allows them to feel more confident. Certification provides value to the studio by offering quality dance classes starting by building the base of preschoolers in your studio.

What kind of teacher would benefit from this?

We provide education in an inspiring way that adds value and new skills to use in the studio. Whether your teacher is experienced and needs some inspiration to freshen things up, or a new teacher starting out, having skills based on science and research provide them with a competitive advantage. Understanding how children learn and the different learning styles will enable teachers to connect and reach them so they can inspire them through dance.

How long does the certification take?

Your teachers have flexibility with our on-demand certification. Teachers have two weeks to complete the video training and one month in total to complete their exam and the assessment from the time they begin the training.

What is included in the certification?

The certification includes 8 hours of video instruction modules which are on demand, a digital workbook, an examination to test their knowledge, an assessment and a certificate of completion.
